Omaha man sentenced after selling meth from mother’s basement

OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN) – According to acting United States Attorney Jan Sharp, Kenneth Becker, age 51, was sentenced in federal court on December 16th in Omaha.
Becker was sentenced for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
On January 15, 2020, Becker sold a confidential informant two ounces of methamphetamine from his mother’s basement.
Within hours, officers executed a search warrant at his mother’s residence and located more than 370 grams of methamphetamine, $3,833 in cash, drug packaging materials, a drug ledger, a drug scale, oxycodone pills, and drug paraphernalia in the basement where Becker resided.
During an interview, Becker admitted to being a drug dealer to officers.
Becker’s criminal history dates back to the 1990s and contains several convictions for drug-related and violent offenses.
United States District Court Judge Joseph F. Bataillon sentenced Becker to 12 years of imprisonment.
After completing his term of imprisonment, Becker will begin a 5-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
