LPD: Man arrested for DUI after crashing his car driving wrong way on O Street

Authorities arrested a man for drunk driving after he crashed his car driving the wrong way down a busy Lincoln street. 

Lincoln police said 56-year-old Kristopher Colgan was driving a 2019 red Chevrolet Camaro westbound in the eastbound lanes of O Street between 84th and 90th Street Tuesday night. 

Colgan struck another vehicle and the driver had to swerve to avoid a head-on collision, police said. Colgan then continued driving before stopping at 84th and O Street where several citizens pulled him from the car, police said. 

Colgan was arrested for DUI, driving under suspension, negligent driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
