Nebraska ranks 10th in most dangerous states for young drivers

Nebraska comes in 10th for most dangerous states for young drivers, ages 15-20, according to the National Highway Safety Administration.
Around 15 percent of serious crashes in the state, where a death occurred, involved young drivers.
The study was done, while factoring in the percentage of young drivers.
Nebraska’s population shows about 8 percent in this age range.
Rhode Island came in first place, when it comes to dangerous states.
Iowa came in second.
Officials in the survey recommend decreasing cellphone usage while driving, never text and drive, and never drive impaired (drugs or alcohol).
They also took into account state laws, in an effort to see how they can reduce these numbers.
