A bit warmer for Valentine’s Day 2/14/2022

Your Valentine’s Day is off to a chilly start! Wind chill values are in the teens for most of southeast Nebraska, so grab your coats before you head out the door. Temperatures will be a bit warmer by the afternoon today, as highs break out of the 30s and warm into the mid-40s. We’ll also see mostly sunny skies and light wind speeds out of the north. We cool back into the low 20s overnight tonight with partly cloudy skies and southerly winds. The return of southerly winds will boost up temperatures for your Tuesday as highs warm to the upper 50s and maybe even low 60s with breezy winds! This warm up will be short lived though, because temperatures plunge back into the low 30s come Wednesday, and a storm system could bring snow flurries to the area. Temperatures don’t warm back above average into the 50s again until Friday.
