A cold and windy Thursday

The clouds and small flurry chances will continue to be with us on Thursday. However, the wind will be a much bigger factor. Wind gusts are already pushing 40 mph as of Thursday morning. Gusts anywhere from 40-45 mph will remain possible throughout the day.

Meanwhile, the windy conditions will keep wind chills much cooler than the air temperature on Thursday. We’re looking at morning wind chills stuck in the single digits and lower teens with afternoon wind chills in the teens.

Actual air temperatures will have a hard time getting above the freezing mark. We’re looking at high temperatures in the upper-20s to low-30s across the area.

Thursday Forecast

A flurry or two also can’t be ruled out, but we do not expect significant accumulation out of these in southeast Nebraska. So don’t be surprised if you come across a few flakes sometime on Thursday.

Skies will remain mostly cloudy on Friday, and it will continue to be cold and windy. However, the sun pokes out for the weekend. Even so, it still appears chilly on Saturday and Sunday with highs in the 30s.
