A few more scattered storm chances
Lately, it seems that it has been very difficult for Lincoln to see measurable rain. Lincoln’s luck changed on Thursday as a morning round of storms brought over 1″ of rain to many spots in the capital city. The morning round was followed by an afternoon round of scattered storms as well.
This batch of showers and storms will push north on Thursday evening, and we’ll likely see a lull in the activity for several hours. That said, more scattered showers will be possible overnight and into Friday morning.
The scattered storm chance remains on Friday afternoon. As far as rain totals are concerned, we’re looking at locally heavy amounts in certain spots. However, there could be others that struggle to even see one drop. That’s just the scattered nature of these storms.
We expect temperatures to top out in the middle-80s on Friday, although it could turn out to be cooler depending on how close you are to any storms that do form.
As we head into Saturday, we also expect temperatures in the 80s with yet another scattered storm chance. So if you missed out on the rain from Thursday morning and afternoon, you’ll have a few more opportunities.
By Sunday, things appear to dry out. Aside from a pop-up storm or two, we should be mostly dry with a high near 90°. Much of next week also looks mostly dry, with highs in the upper-80s and low-90s.
