“Hey moms, we just want to say happy Mother’s Day,” said Pastor Rick Lorimer of Christ Place Church.  “We love you, we never want to take you for granted we hope you have an amazing day.”

Christ Place Church on Old Cheney held the drive through to appreciate the mother figures in their lives.

Adults and children waved signs and blew bubbles as mothers drove through the parking lot. At the end of the parade they were handed bundt-tinis and fresh carnation flowers.

“Just wanted to show moms that we love them,” said Danette Matty.  “We know that moms are on duty all the time whether pre-pandemic or in pandemic or post pandemic. We know that moms are working hard right now.”

The desserts were inspired by the church’s first lady because lemon bundt-tinis are her favorite dessert.
