A murder-suicide in David City has Nebraska State Patrol investigating

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska State Patrol revealed two people were found dead in a possible murder -suicide inside a house inside David City.

The bodies were discovered Friday afternoon by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office after they were called in by family to conduct a welfare check around 4th and K Street.

The deceased have been identified as 29-year-old Dagmara Dorta Diaz and 34-year-old Alfonso Palmero. Both of whom were found with suspected gunshot wounds.

The Butler County Attorney’s Office requested that the Nebraska State Patrol conduct the homicide investigation.

Diaz had a protection order against Palmero and it is believed by investigators that Palmero shot Diaz before shooting himself.

At this time, the investigation is ongoing.
