“We start today, we will ramp up to be able to do more volume in the coming days,” said Cole Mazurek, senior performance coach For CHI Health.

300 people were scheduled to be tested at the Lancaster Event Center on Friday where Test Nebraska and CHI Health are providing tests for COVID-19.

CHI Health workers provide the testing but patients are greeted by the Nebraska National Guard, who make sure the patient has all required documents.

“We make sure that they’ve got everything they need to be tested, meaning their QR code, their I.D., and then they come through and the CHI Health team takes care of them,” said Major Angela Ling, Air National Guard. “At the end of the day, we organize courier services to get to the lab.”

A patient has to be notified by Test Nebraska to be qualified to get a test. Those tested through Test Nebraska should expect a 48-hour result turnaround.
