A new program offers bags to families of infants who have to be transferred to higher care

BEATRICE, Neb. (KLKN) — The Beatrice Community Hospital Foundation (BCH) announces its new Transfer Bag Program. When an infant require a transfer to a higher level of care, the BCH Foundation now offers bags with necessities for hurried families.

Each bag contains a blanket for the child, basic hygiene items, travel essentials, snacks, water and gift cards to help with travel expenses.

BCH Foundation said it is thanks to the funding from BCH Foundation’s Centurian Partners Mini Grant Program  that makes the transfer bags possible for families.

They also expressed gratitude to different businesses for their donations to the program including Walmart, Scooter’s Coffee and Plaza Ridge Dental.

BCH Foundation said this initiative helps parents focus on the care of their child because their community is supporting them.
