A sunny and warm Tuesday

The entire state is waking up to clear skies and mild temperatures on Tuesday morning. Unlike Monday where we had a few waves of clouds, sunny skies will remain all day long on Tuesday.

Hour by Hour - Tuesday

High temperatures will rise into the upper-40s and low-50s in southeast Nebraska. Areas that had a harder time warming on Monday (mainly west) should have an easier time doing so on Tuesday.

Tuesday Forecast

Wednesday also looks pretty nice, with mostly sunny skies for the majority of the day and highs in the 50s. However, a system will be nearing on Wednesday that will bring a few precipitation chances.

While the system gets very close on Wednesday evening, the majority of any moisture will fall to the south and east. Lincoln has perhaps a 10% chance of precipitation on Wednesday night – not a high chance. Areas closer to Falls City have a 20-30% chance of seeing a rain/snow mix.

Stormcast Wednesday Evening

That system moves out of here fairly quickly, and another one takes its place on Thursday. That could bring a few snow showers through the state. Lincoln and areas west have a better chance of seeing precipitation on Thursday.

Stormcast Thursday Evening

Overall totals will be very limited. Liquid-equivalent accumulation should be under 0.1″ for most. In other words, you shouldn’t expect a drought-buster this week.
