A touch cooler, best rain chances to the west

Eastern Nebraska woke up to sunshine on Tuesday morning. That said, clouds will eventually return. Skies will gradually turn partly cloudy, and perhaps even mostly cloudy at some point.

When there are clouds, there’s a small chance to come across a spotty shower in eastern Nebraska. The overall odds of seeing these appear very low on Tuesday. The better shower chances reside in western Nebraska, along and west of a line from Arapahoe to North Platte and into the Panhandle.

Stormcast Tuesday Afternoon

Temperatures will be a touch cooler on Tuesday afternoon. We’re looking at highs topping out in the low to mid-60s as opposed to the 70s that we saw on Monday.

Tuesday Forecast

The forecast does look dry on Wednesday and Thursday, and temperatures will rebound to the upper-60s and low-70s. However, another rain chance arrives Thursday night and into Friday. Showers are possible on Friday, and this affords Lincoln the best opportunity to see rain this week.

Stormcast Friday Afternoon

Most runs of Stormcast show under 0.25″ of rain from these showers. While this will not likely be a drought-buster, something is better than nothing.
