A WINDY, chilly & partly sunny day across Nebraska! Temperatures will drop hour by hour with strong NW winds sustained 20-25+ mph. Gusts up 40-50 mph farther east.
Sustained winds will stay between 15-25 mph through this evening. Winds will continue through Saturday. Sunday, winds will only be 5-10 mph!
Wind gusts will continue to stay strong through the evening hours. Gusts between 35-50 mph.
FREEZE WARNINGS are in place through Saturday morning. Temperatures will drop below freezing for much of the state Saturday morning. Sunday morning will also have near or below freezing temperatures. The coldest temperatures will be across the Sandhills.
Tonight, temperatures reaching the teens and 20s out west, with low to mid 30s farther east. Winds will be blowing, making for a BLUSTERY night.
