Another 2.4 million Americans filed jobless claims last week
The unemployment rate in the U.S. is the highest since the Great Depression.

On Thursday, the U.S. Department of Labor said an additional 2,438,000 Americans filed for unemployment insurance last week.
This brings the nine-week jobless claims total since the coronavirus crisis took hold in the U.S. to over 38 million people.
The unemployment rate in the U.S. is the highest since the Great Depression.
