Another cold start Sunday

Some light flurries were seen early in the morning on Saturday as some lingering clouds eventually cleared by the afternoon. Overall, high temperatures struggled to make it into the 30s and felt like our average low temperatures for this time of year.

This cold air is going to settle in for some time with us, as we have another cold start to the day on Sunday. A clear night with winds calming down will lead to wind chills in the morning to feel like the single digits.

After that, winds will be out of the southeast and make things “warmer” as we see temperatures in the lower 40s for a high to end the weekend. It’ll be one of the warmer days going forward for some time even though we should still be about 10° warmer on average than the high for Sunday.

Skycast Tomorrow

The colder air impacting our area will stay through the rest of next week as we experience high temperatures anywhere from 12-24° below normal. Temperatures now are usually in the lower 50s, but we’ve been hit hard and fast since the last stronger cold front came through.

Glancing ahead into the first part of next week, light snow showers possible are later on Monday. Little to no accumulations are expected with that chance. Then, we stay cool and continue to get colder throughout the next few days.
