Another mild and windy day 1/27/2022

Southeast Nebraska is off to a much warmer start this morning, with most of the area holding on strong to temperatures in the 20s. Even though we technically are warmer, wind chill values are still cold in the teens, so bundle up. Highs won’t look much different later today in comparison to yesterday. Most of the area will warm above average into the upper 30s and low 40s with breezy conditions. Northwesterly wind gusts around 25 mph are likely into the early evening hours, but they are expected to calm by the overnight tonight. Temperatures drop a bit more tonight and most of the area will see temperatures back in the low to mid-teens. Conditions don’t change much tomorrow as highs remain in the upper 30s and low 40s. The only major difference will be calmer wind speeds and a bit clearer skies. Temperatures quickly warm to the 50s for Saturday and in the upper 40s for Sunday. Soak up the warmth while its here, because cold arctic air returns for the first few days of February.
