Another Round of Troops Leave to Prepare for a Possible War with Iraq
Forty-six men and women left from the Army Reserves Center in Lincoln on Tuesday. They are off to Hastings, where they will begin training for biological and chemical warfare. There have been many local troops that have been called up to protect our country lately. This one is a little different. These men and women will be close to the front line. Their job is to load weapons.
The soldiers don't know exactly how long they will be in Hastings for training, and they don't yet know exactly where they will go after that. Also, there is a support group that will be keeping in touch with the family members to help them through it.
