Nebraska State Patrol finds more than 500 pounds of cocaine during I-80 traffic stop

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A California man was arrested on Wednesday after the Nebraska State Patrol found more than 500 pounds of cocaine in his car.

Just before 10:30 a.m., troopers pulled over a Nissan Rogue traveling east on Interstate 80 near Milford.

During the traffic stop, an NSP K9 smelled the odor of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle.

Troopers searched the vehicle and found around 525 pounds of cocaine and 9.3 grams of suspected heroin.

The driver, 23-year-old Gurarppan Grill, of Yuba City, California, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver.

He was lodged in the Seward County Jail.
