Apple suspends Parler from the App Store
The company said Parler has not taken the appropriate steps to address the proliferation of threats.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) —Apple has banned Parler from the App Store. The company said they have always supported diverse points of view but threats, violence and illegal activity is not welcome.
Parler is widely known for not censoring any of its users content. The App has become more popular in the last few days after Social Media companies like Twitter and Facebook began censoring and even blocking President Trump from their platforms.
In a statement from Apple, the company said “We have always supported diverse points of view being represented on the App Store, but there is no place on our platform for threats of violence and illegal activity. Parler has not taken adequate measures to address the proliferation of these threats to people’s safety. We have suspended Parler from the App Store until they resolve these issues.”
