A WARM & pleasant day across Nebraska! SE winds 5-10 mph with gusts up to 15+ mph. State highs reaching the 80s & 90s under sunny skies! Breezier winds farther west.
High temperatures will range from the 80s to the 90s this afternoon. The hot spots in far western Nebraska.
Our KLKN bike drive is happening all day Thursday! Expect warm and very windy conditions! Temperatures in the upper 80s with winds gusting up to 40-50 mph.
Thursday morning could bring some light rain across eastern Nebraska due to the moisture increase! Some rain will be elevated
South winds will be sustained near 25-30 mph with gusts up to 45-55 mph all day Thursday.
Here is a look at storm chances with instability (storm energy) overlayed through this weekend:
Saturday evening: A line of storms will try to develop from North Platte ->Lincoln. LARGE HAIL, gusty winds & an isolated tornado threat.
Sunday: Scattered strong to severe storms will form N->S. A cluster/line of storms will form by the evening in SE Nebraska. LARGE HAIL, DAMAGING WINDS & isolated TORNADOES will all be concerns. Instability will be HIGH Sunday evening into Monday across SE & eastern Nebraska. Stay tuned for the latest updates.
Monday: A line of showers & T-storms will slice across SE Nebraska from a line to Sioux Falls & south. Models currently have the severe threat pushing east.
