Big Red Friday is back at Nebraska McDonald’s locations

Celebrate the return of football season and give to a good cause.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Just barely ahead of another season of Huskers football, the Ronald McDonald House Charities are at it again with Big Red Friday… their fifth annual fundraiser. Over that time, they’ve brought in around $100 thousand for the RMHC in Omaha.

Each year, you can find a special flag at McDonald’s locations all across the state, and the general consensus is that this year’s design is the best so far. You can get a flag of your own at the drive-through for $5. By the time all the flags are sold, they should bring in a total of around $40 thousand.

The money raised here stays here, at the only RMHC location in Omaha. That means families from all over the state who need to go to Omaha for medical care get a helping hand.

There’s an added bonus this morning is a special guest at the Lincoln McDonald’s located at 547 North 48th Street. Former Husker DeMoine Adams is there to help promote the cause, and he just might be willing to add his name to your flag.
