UPDATE: One in critical condition after crash at Antelope Valley & Salt Creek

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – UPDATE: Lincoln Police identified the drivers involved in the Friday morning crash at Antelope Valley Parkway & Salt Creek Road.

According to police, Edward Watters, age 19, was driving a white suburban north on Antelope valley parkway in the left turn lane at the salt creek.

Austin Kinser, age 18, was driving South on Antelope on his motorcycle, approaching the same intersection.

Watter said he didn’t see the motorcycle and turned left in front of Kinser, at that time they collided.

Kinser is still in critical condition at a local hospital.

The investigation is ongoing. 


UPDATE:  According to the Lincoln Police Department, one driver has been taken to the hospital in critical condition following this morning’s crash.

The driver of the vehicle was seen by medical professionals but is okay and has been released from the hospital.

The driver of the motorcycle is currently being treated for severe injuries.

LPD stated that they could not currently update with information and the crash is still being investigated.


UPDATE: As of 12:44 p.m. the intersection of Antelope Valley Parkway & Salt Creek Road has reopened following a motorcycle/vehicle crash this morning.

One person involved has been rushed to a local hospital, their condition is unknown.

Lincoln Police Department has not yet issued a statement on the crash.


A crash at the intersection of Antelope Valley Parkway & Salt Creek Road around 9:20 a.m. has traffic shut down in the area.

All traffic will be detoured from the area, a reporter is on the scene and will provide updates as they become available.
