Broken pipe that affected 600 prisoners at Nebraska State Penitentiary fixed
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) —A water pipe at the Nebraska State Penitentiary that broke early Friday evening has now been fixed. The pipe impacted nearly 600 inmates that temporarily had to use portable restrooms and be given bottled water.
Initially, the water pipe break affected four units.
Saturday, the prison pipes were fixed, and the units began operating.
At this time the cause of the water pipe break has not been relieved.
