Building vandalized after Lancaster County Republican Party event, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A building in east Lincoln was vandalized following an event held by the Lancaster County Republican Party on Saturday.

Suite One Eleven, located near 70th and A Streets, had “an expletive” spray-painted on the building, according to police.

The vandalism happened after the Lancaster County Republican Party’s Lincoln-Reagen dinner, which hosted Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

In a Sunday press release, the party condemned “the violent and destructive” actions of the event’s protestors.

Samuel Lyon, the group’s chairman, said that the party stands “firmly against any attempts to silence opposing views through violent means.”

Police said that the building had around $150 in damage.
