Burglars held teens at gunpoint, stole $300 at Grand Island home, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Burglars held two teens at gunpoint and stole $300 at a home in Grand Island on Wednesday, police say.

Around 5 p.m., officers were sent to the home near Custer Avenue and Sixth Street on a report of a burglary.

A 15 and 17-year-old told officers they were held at gunpoint by Rodolfo Penaflor and three teens, who had entered the home and demanded money.

One of the burglars then hit a victim in the face with the gun, which police say caused an injury.

The burglars ran off with $300 after they fired a round-off inside the home, according to police.

Later on, officers arrested Penaflor and the teens on suspicion of robbery, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and second-degree assault.
