California man killed in crash on I-80 west of Grand Island
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A California man was killed in a crash early Thursday morning west of Grand Island, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said.
Around 2:43 a.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on Interstate-80 at mile marker 310.
An investigation showed a Nissan truck driven by Salvador Duquemoreno was traveling east on I-80 when he was hit by a semi-truck, driven by Yelena Coop.
The passenger of the Nissan Hector Stanley Duque, 47, of California then got out of the truck and tried to help Duquemoreno
Duque was then struck by a passing vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
