Car accident on Highway 77 near Rosa Parks Way

A car accident on interstate 77 in west Lincoln caused a stoppage in traffic Sunday afternoon.

The accident happened just before 2 pm on the northbound lane of highway 77 by the intersection of Rosa Parks Way.

Traffic was redirected for about an hour as crews worked to get the vehicle out of the way.

Fortunately, there were no injuries.

The city says streets currently are wet with normal driving conditions.

Drivers should use caution overnight and be alert for slick spots, especially on untreated streets and sidewalks.
