Car crashes into light pole in Lincoln, sending two to hospital

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Two people were injured Friday night when a car hit a light pole in southwest Lincoln.

The crash happened about 10:30 p.m. near 20th Street and Pine Lake Road.

Four people were in the vehicle, and two of them were taken to a hospital, according to Lincoln Fire & Rescue.

LFR said Lincoln Electric System workers were coming to cut power to the pole, which had fallen on top of the car.

The cause of the crash and the extent of the injuries are unknown, LFR said.
