CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Vehicle stolen within minutes, police investigate

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Within minutes, a vehicle was stolen while the driver was dropping off work supplies; and it was all caught on camera.

The theft occurred on Sept. 4th, around 5 p.m., when the victim was unloading work supplies from his red Ford Focus, left running in an alley near 11th and “A” Streets.

He reportedly stepped away for only minutes to deliver the supplies, when a man and woman approached his car and drove off.

The male suspect acted as the getaway driver with the female riding in the passenger seat.

That same night, the stolen Ford Focus was reportedly involved in a road rage incident from I-180 into downtown Lincoln.

A week later, it was finally recovered near 12th and “E” Streets.

Lincoln Police are still looking to identify the suspected thieves. If you have any information pertaining to the case, contact Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Lincoln Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
