LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The inmate that was reported missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln, Patrick Carey, 35, has reportedly turned himself in.

Officials from the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services say Carey returned to the center Tuesday afternoon, one day after not returning to the facility from work. He was reported missing to the authorities yesterday.

An inmate has gone missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L).

Patrick Carey, 35, left his work assignment Monday and has not returned to CCC-L. The electronic monitoring device he was wearing has been found discarded in a toolbox at the worksite.

Cary began his 10 to 17-year sentence in June of 2017. His charges include assault by a confined person, second-degree arson, and the use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.

He is described as a 5’11”, 160 lbs white man with black hair and brown eyes.
