Chamber of Commerce announces next president

Ball will serve as president of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development (LPED) and will begin the role in January of 2022.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce announced Jason Ball as their new president on Thursday.

Ball will serve as president of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development (LPED) and will begin the role in January of 2022.

Ball earned an MBA from the University of Nebraska and previously worked as director of business development at LPED.

“It is truly humbling to return there to do the work I love in the city we still consider home,” said Ball.

Bell’s experience includes serving as an active member of the International Economic Development Council and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Both executive committees of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and LPED had conducted a nationwide search for the next president. The current president, Wendy Birdsall, announced her retirement this June, she will step down from the position on December 31.

“He is a true champion of business and brings both a history with our organization and a proven record of success to the Chamber,” said Birdsall.
