Channel 8 collects more than 300 bikes in its third annual bike drive

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Channel 8 News hosted its third annual bike drive on Thursday, collecting more than 300 bikes that will be refurbished and redistributed across the city of Lincoln.

The bike drive ran from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the Lincoln Bike Kitchen was also on site to collect new or gently used bikes.

At the end of the drive, a total of 330 bikes were collected, just one bike short of last year’s 331 total.

With that total, Channel 8 has now collected more than 1,000 bikes over the last three years.

We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who has supported this drive over the years. It’s the community that makes this a success!
