CHI Health adds visitation restrictions due to growing COVID cases
The new changes go into effect November 4,
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Starting Wednesday, CHI Health will add new and additional restrictions for who can visit patients in the hospitals.
Only one healthy adult support person will be allowed per day. This is someone who the patient said can be helpful in their care. This is not for social visits, and no social visiting is allowed.
A mask will be worn by support persons at all times, and the visiting hours will be limited to 7:30 am – 9 pm for most patients. There are exceptions, for example, in maternity, end-of-life, and pediatrics.
A support person will be allowed for surgery areas, outpatient treatments, and clinical settings, and if surgery is before 7:30 am a support person can come in with the patient.
Full patient visitation information is available HERE.
Anyone who doesn’t follow the visitation guidelines could be asked to leave.
