Chilly Easter weekend 4/15/2022

It’s feeling more like a winter morning on this Friday as wind chill values are in the teens across southeast NE. Grab your winter coats and keep some layers around for the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 50s again today with a mix of sunshine and clouds at times. Thankfully, wind gusts won’t be strong today, so we will finally get a break from the windy weather. Overnight temperatures plunge back below freezing tonight into the mid-20s, so make sure to bring in outdoor plants or cover them. Our cool train of the 50s will continue beyond Easter weekend before a warming trend sets up next week. Eventually we could see the 80s, but for now you might want to wear something warmer for Easter rather than an Easter dress. Highs will be around 57° on Easter with the chance for snow and rain showers in the morning. Push your egg hunts to the afternoon just to be on the safe side and plan on a little bit of a breeze
