Christmas lights go up at Haymarket Park

The light show will be held until Jan. 1

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Now that Thanksgiving has come to a close, Christmas light shows are popping up around the city.

Nebraska Christmas Lights Show opened for the first time on Nov. 27 at Haymarket Park.

It’s a drive through show that’s just a little over half a mile long and includes thousands of lights. The lights are synced up to play along with a radio station you listen to in your car.

“We do have a VIP experience which is really awesome,” said Nikki Chipps, General Manager of Nebraska Christmas Lights Show. “You get a chance to skip the line, you get a treat bag for your child, you get free hot chocolate for every person in the car and you get a free seven inch cookie. So it’s worth the upgrade.”

Tickets are available on Nebraska Christmas Lights Show’s website. This event will last until Jan. 1.
