Cinnabuns, beloved bear at Wildlife Safari Park in Ashland, dies

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Cinnabuns, a popular bear at the Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari Park, has died.

The park announced the death in a Facebook post Thursday.

Back in 1999, Cinnabuns and her twin sister – Licorice – arrived at the park in Ashland.

Since then, zoo officials said, the two bears have won over the hearts of their caretakers and visitors.

“She particularly loved to climb trees and ‘strike poses’ with many of the elements in her habitat,” officials said in the post.

To celebrate Cinnabuns’ life, officials asked fans to share their favorite photos of the beloved bear on the park’s Facebook page.
