City crews treating streets ahead of light rain
Drivers should be alert for slick spots, especially on untreated surfaces.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Twenty material spreaders began applying granular salt pre-wet with brine to arterial streets and bus and school routes at midnight on Thursday. You can expect to see light snow, drizzle and patchy fog. This can create slick roads and reduced visibility for the morning commute.
The city says arterial streets are wet and near freezing. Drivers should be alert for slick spots, especially on untreated surfaces.
