City of Hastings and Adams County not immune to lawsuit

HASTINGS, Neb. (AP) The Nebraska Supreme Court has ruled the city of Hastings and Adams County are not immune from a lawsuit filed by a woman whose arm was partially amputated after a 2009 car accident on a slick road.
The court issued the ruling last week. Kaelynn and Wayne Kimminau claim the city didn’t properly clean a corn mash spill from the previous day and that led to Kaelynn’s accident.
