City of Lincoln hosting Pearl Harbor Day ceremony in Antelope Park
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The City of Lincoln will be hosting a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day ceremony on Wednesday.
The Veterans Memorial Garden Advisory Council is inviting the public to the event, which will be held at the Auld Pavillion in Antelope Park.
Officials said the event will begin at 11:55 a.m., to coincide with the time of the Pearl Harbor attack in 1941.
Featured speakers include Bill and Bob Dietrich, sons of Sgt. William H. Dietrich, who served on the USS Maryland during the attack.
The colors will be presented by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 131, Post 3606 and Post 7722.
The Nebraska Men’s Chorus and Amanda Barker will be the featured musicians.
