City treating roads ahead of subzero windchills

City officials say 20 crews are applying salt to arterial streets, school and bus routes.

Crews reported wet streets as of 5 p.m. Wednesday, but said conditions could quickly become slippery as temperatures fall.

With subzero windchills expected overnight, drivers should be alert for icy spots, especially in untreated areas.
