Cold for the rest of the week
Monday night’s snow fell mainly south and east of Lincoln. With below-freezing temperatures on Tuesday morning, any remaining moisture may create a few slick spots to the south and east of Lincoln. Drivers should exercise caution in these areas, especially on bridges and overpasses.
By Tuesday afternoon, temperatures will rise into the middle-30s in Lincoln. There will be a bit of a breeze out of the northwest, perhaps gusting up to 25 mph at times.
We expect a mix of sun and clouds on Tuesday, and when we have clouds, there’s a small chance to see a couple of flurries. Stormcast tries to hint at a few flakes flying, but these will likely be the exception as opposed to the rule.
Temperatures are going to remain cool over the next several days, with our coolest day probably being on Friday. However, we will begin a warming trend heading into the weekend. By next week, the 40s (and maybe 50s) will be back. That will feel really nice after being so cool for so long.
