The NCAA Divison-I Council has voted to begin the college basketball season on Nov. 25. Teams can open practice on Oct. 14.

Other details will follow in the coming weeks, but schools will only be allowed to schedule 27 games, four less than the usual allotment. The minimum number of games played is now 13 with no scrimmages or exhibitions. Four of those 27 games can be non-conference opponents, which would mean Nebraska can play Creighton this season and compete in the Myrtle Beach Invitational.

A full schedule will be released closer to the season.
