An Omaha company is helping to bring more than 100,000 face masks to Nebraska hospitals.

McGill Restoration wanted to do its part to fight the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and help with relief efforts.

The company worked to secure manufacturing space with an organization in China to produce desperately needed face masks and fly them back to the United States.

McGill Restoration donated $50,000 to get the project started, and raised an additional $57,465 through a GoFundMe page. The company says that money has been used to produce 163,000 masks, 118,400 of which will be delivered to hospitals across Nebraska later this month.

“There are times in life where we can step up and make a significant impact. This is one of those times and together we can save many lives by making this happen,” said Tim McGill, owner and president of
McGill Restoration.
