Concordia women fall in overtime, men win third straight

SEWARD, Neb. (KLKN) – The Concordia Bulldogs hosted Morningside College Wednesday night at Friedrich Arena for a double-header featuring both men’s and women’s basketball.
The 19th-ranked women’s basketball took No. 8 Morningside into overtime, tying the game at 54 with eight seconds on the clock. The Mustangs, though, took advantage of the extra time beating the Bulldogs, 68-62.
For the men, No. 25 Concordia led from the start to take down the Mustangs, 83-68. Junior guard Carter Kent scored his 1,500 career point tonight making him the 9th playing in Concordia history to achieve the honor.
