Cool Tuesday forecast with gusty winds 9/21/2021
We are off to a chilly start to your Tuesday as temperatures are currently falling into the upper 40s across southeast NE this morning. Even though wind speeds are light, I highly recommend grabbing a light jacket before you head out the door this morning. We currently have partly cloudy skies, but most of the state is rain free this morning and will stay dry today. A few clouds are likely this afternoon, but I still expect quite a bit of sunshine for most of the area today. Highs will be on the cool side in the low 70s with breezy winds out of the northwest gusting up to 25 mph.
Temperatures really drop overnight tonight as lows dip into the low 40s for most of southeast Nebraska. We could even see a few 30s around sunrise!
Highs stay mild though Wednesday and then we warm into the end of the week and weekend back above average near the low 80s. Dry weather persists overall, but there is a slight chance for isolated showers on Friday.
