Cooler air takes over Nebraska this weekend 5/20/2022
We are off to a much cooler start this Friday morning with temperatures in the 40s and 50s across NE. This is all thanks to yesterdays cold front, and now cooler air is sinking into the state and will continue to all weekend. Highs today will only reach the low 70s with decreasing clouds and we’ll have a bit of a breeze. Temperatures drop even further overnight with lows reaching the mid-40s. Clouds gradually increase into the early morning hours on Saturday and some of these clouds will produce scattered rain showers. Showers will push out around noon, leaving us with dry and chilly temperatures for Saturday afternoon. Highs will make it feel more like March with highs only in the mid to upper 50s! We warm up a bit more on Sunday to highs in the mid-60s and eventually the 70s return on Tuesday. But make sure to protect your plants early Sunday morning! Overnight lows will fall into the 30s to kick off your Sunday. Scattered rain chances are also likely Monday thru Wednesday.
