The Cornhusker State Games continue this weekend with rounds of cornhole on Saturday morning.
A volunteer says the organization changed its format of playing because of COVID 19, spacing out the cornhole boards so players are social distancing, providing hand sanitizing stations, and discouraging the common game courtesies like handshakes after rounds between teams.
“Everybody wants to high five or shake after a good game but we discourage that and you want the elbow bump or just the remote handshake so we encourage that,” said Brad Sebby, a CSL volunteer. “We’re definitely happy to play, I mean we all want sports of some kind during the pandemic and this is a little trace of that.”
Players could throw in the tailgaters division or competitive division. Teams or singles got the chance to win medals and cash prizes.
