COVID-19 outbreak at Tyson plant in Madison now up to 58 cases

There are an additional 81 tests pending in the district, and the number of those being from Tyson's employees are unknown at this time.

The Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department has some updated testing numbers and results to report. There are a total of 83 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the health district (up from 74 on Friday, and up from 18 last week at this time).

The Tyson outbreak is now sitting at 58 cases from employees of the plant. There are an additional 81 tests pending in the district, and the number of those being from Tyson’s employees are unknown at this time.

Monday, we will provide another update later in the day to allow for enough time to receive the testing results from the tests collected over the weekend and conduct the necessary interviews. Stay safe and healthy, all.
