Crash on I-80 in Lincoln sends one to hospital

A single-vehicle crash sent a 37-year-old Lincoln man to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, early Wednesday morning.

Lincoln Police say they believe speed and alcohol were a factor.

It happened a little after midnight, when the driver was heading eastbound on Interstate 80, he then took the 401 exit westbound, but lost control and slammed into a tree.

His identity has not been released.

Lincoln Police say citations are pending and the crash is under investigation.

No other people were in the car.
