CSC approves NIL deal for 18 Husker football players, totaling $7.5 million

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The College Sports Commission (CSC) approved $7.5 million for 18 Nebraska football players. The opportunities from restructured name, image and likeness were initially rejected two months ago.

According to Associated Press, the deals were initially rejected because they delt with a third-party, Playfly. This reportedly raised concern from the CSC because it was unknown if Playfly was an associated entity.

The initial deals reportedly did not include goods or services offered to the general public for profit.

With the new deals being revised and approved, 18 Husker football players will be paid in full after they fulfilled the responsibilities outlined in the deals.

It is unknown which players at this time.
